Mushroomic: Spring 2024
My next book will be the tentatively-titled Mushroomic, a book of creative non-fiction about mushrooms and trees. Like Treed, this book attempts to combine the personal essay with science writing.

Siteseeing: Fall 2023
between February 2021 and March 2022, Saskatchewan poet Brenda Schmidt and I wrote a collaborative poetry manuscript. It was formatted like a call and response. Our plan was that her half of the conversation was birds and climate while mine was trees and climate. But over the course of the year, we both wrote birds and trees but also moose and mushrooms and pronghorns and wild turkeys. We wrote climate as it was manifested in drought-stressed trees and stunted crops covered in grasshoppers, in wildfires and wildfire smoke hanging over the city.
This book will be published by Winnipeg’s At Bay Press in fall 2023.

Formidable MouthParts: TBA
I am working on a collaborative manuscript of poems + images with biologist/bookmaker/micrographer Erwin Huebner. The book looks at pest insect species found in Manitoba and I am writing to a set of Erwin’s micrographs.
This book was commissioned by Winnipeg’s At Bay Press.
